Nurses Voices consultancy have been commissioned by the Florence Nightingale Museum to work with them to create an oral history archive of the memories and experiences of nurses’ and patients at St Thomas’ and Guys Hospital from c1930 to the present day.
The museum plan to use the archive to create a temporary exhibition at the museum including a short film that will be made as part of the project, a travelling exhibition, a video and resource packs for their work in citizenship education in schools and a training video for current nurse students. It is anticipated that the exhibition will be open by April 2007. Watch this space for further updates.
